Sam Dunham is the creator of the travel and food blog Life in Abruzzo which has kept its international readers informed from 2004. Since moving back to the UK full-time and leaving Abruzzo for holiday-home adventures, she has founded a new travel blogging voice in MidLifeMum, (when she gets time), whilst raising her son and balancing her career of freelance web content manager and copywriter.
Sam has been exploring and living off and on in Bascianella (TE) Abruzzo for the past 12 years. Co-founder of the Abruzzo Blogger Community she acts as its web content manager and alongside Helen Free founded the successful 3-day travel food and wine blogging workshop Let’s Blog Abruzzo, which drew attendees and sponsors from Italy to Australia.
She also provided English language PR campaign assistance to Maria D’Orsogna for the ongoing NOOILABRUZZO campaign, was one of the organisers of the Art for L’Aquila auction in London to help raise funds post the earthquake and arranged the charity book launch of Breaking Bread in L’Aquila at Santo Stefano di Sessanio. The Guardian used her knowledge of the region for their Holidays in Italy, live Q&A as has Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’.
